Pruvan Device Subscription Policy

How long does it take to get started? Once you sign-up online, in a matter of minutes a sample Pruvan Project with Tasks will be available on the Pruvan Mobile app downloaded on your compatible mobile device.  You can download the FREE Pruvan Mobile app on iTunes for Apple devices and Google Play for Andriod devices. How many devices do I need? You will need a Pruvan device subscription for every mobile device on which you plan on using Pruvan to take photos and/or complete surveys in the field. For example, if your business plans on using two iPhones and one Android phone to take photos with Pruvan, you will need at least three Pruvan device subscriptions to use all three phones (although we recommend having a couple extra device subscriptions on hand just in case an extra device needs to be activated while in the field). Devices that are no longer in use can be easily deactivated to free up that device subscription allowing for a new device to be automatically activated. Keep in mind that Pruvan has a 10 day reactivation policy to ensure that customers purchase the correct subscription plan based on the number of devices that are used in the field. You have the option to reactivate devices before the 10 day waiting period is over; however, a $10 fee will be added to the next invoice for each device that was reactivated. This is not a penalty for instances where a device suddenly stops working or breaks in the field and a new device is needed ASAP (please contact Pruvan to determine if a credit needs to be issued prior to your next invoice). This policy is in place to prevent customers from deactivating and reactivating the same devices and paying for fewer devices than actually needed. Pruvan has to cover the cost of downloading photos from our system so for this reason we’ve implemented this policy which also helps keep Pruvan device prices low for our customers. If you think that your crew will be using extra devices at any time other than what you are subscribed to, you may need to increase your subscription plan to one that better suits the needs of your business.

What do I need? For Pruvan Online, a web browser and Internet connection. Pruvan Online works best with Google Chrome. For Pruvan Mobile, a compatible smartphone or tablet is required.

Are there any extra charges that I need to know about? When applicable, state sales tax will be applied to the total amount of purchase. This varies state by state, however, so check your local state sales tax policies.

What’s this about a free Pruvan account? Pruvan offers a free account, but it does not have the same access to all of the features of a paying account including the Pruvan Downloader and complimentary support. Free accounts have access to the Pruvan Support Center to learn how to best use Pruvan for their business, but only paying accounts and their sub-users have access to our ticketing system and support staff. What happens if my credit card declines? If the credit card billing fails we will notify your billing email on file and retry to collect twice over a 10 day period. If we fail to collect after 3 attempts over 10 days, we will automatically cancel the related subscription service. However, if Pruvan learns of subversive attempts to continue service using an invalid method of payment, Pruvan retains the right to terminate the subscription service.

Is my data safe? We’re experts in mobile technology and have been hosting web based business applications for many years and we take the security of your data very seriously. We are governed by some of the best security policies in the industry. We use the same enterprise strength SSL encryption that banks use and backup your data several times a day. Only a small number of authorized Pruvan staff have the clearance to access customer data. As stated in our Privacy Policy, we promise we will never share your personal information with anyone ever, at all, period.

How is your customer service? Every support request is important to us and our support staff does an excellent job of responding to and solving most requests in less than a day. The best way to get our attention is to open a support ticket. You can do this by leaving a message on the phone when you call or opening a support ticket through the mobile app, your online account, or our website. We’ll get back to you… We swear! However, the official policy on Support Tickets is that we will return your call or email within one business day. If you try and skirt around this system by calling repeatedly, your attempts will alas be in vain! Our support team addresses tickets in the order in which they are received. Don’t be that guy who tries to cut the line! No one likes that guy.

How will I be billed? Your credit card will be billed monthly in USD ($). You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time and the change will be reflected at the end of your current monthly billing period.  It is your responsibility to make sure you manage how many devices subscriptions you need.  Pruvan does not bill based on how many times you use or did not use your device subscriptions.

Can I pay by {fill in the blank}? As a courtesy to clients who prefer an alternative to a monthly Visa, Mastercard or American Express credit card payment, we can collect on a six or twelve month term in advance and manually extend your service subscription.

We’re part of a bigger company. We understand larger organizations have extra requirements relating to security, billing, integration, due diligence and contingency processes. Please contact us directly so we can make all necessary arrangements.

Just in case, what about cancelling and refunds? We give our clients the control to cancel their Pruvan account online at anytime. To cancel go to: the Pruvan menu > Account > Subscription > click “Manage Account” > click to cancel each subscription and you will not be charged again. If you decide that within six (6) months of cancelling that you’d like to reactivate your account, re-login with your original username and password, select the subscription you’d like, purchase said subscription, and your account will be re-activated immediately. Subscription terms are paid in advanced, month-to-month and are not prorated or refundable. Clients are responsible for any subscription or charges previously incurred.  Please do not email us or leave a voice mail for us to modify or cancel your account, we won’t.  We give only the administrators of your account the power to manage your account online.
