Enhanced photo mode (new in Pruvan 3.14) includes two significant enhancements in how you can take photos in Pruvan Mobile and set up photo tasks in surveys in your Pruvan Online account.

First, enhanced photo mode lets you take all of a project’s required photos all at once! Gone are the days where in order to fulfill a photo requirement you have to click on each individual question in a survey. Now all you have to do is open the camera within the project and simply select the photo requirement that you’d like to complete first! Enhanced photo mode will let you know when you’ve hit the minimum and maximum photos per survey question and will let you seamlessly transition between photo requirements without ever leaving the camera.

Second, Pruvan now supports surveys that are only photos! We know that there are many photo requirements on a property and that since most of them don’t require too much explanation answering survey questions can simply slow you down. Photo-only surveys will speed up the process for those simple, required photos that are asked for at the majority of properties.

Technically speaking, when you create a photo-only survey in your Pruvan Online account, all of your tasks for the survey are questions with the answer-type of “none.”  This means that you don’t have to ask a question in the question field. You can simply put a statement or just a label of what photos you want taken (e.g. Front of House, Grass cut Before, etc.). When a photo-only survey is loaded from Pruvan Online into Pruvan Mobile, it will open directly in the camera.  You can then select your “questions” from a drop down menu in the camera the same as how you’d select between different tasks from a regular Photo Task. A bubble next to each “question” shows the number of photos taken and turns green when the minimum photo requirement is met. Once all of the photos have been taken you simply back out of the camera and press the green Complete button.

These two features in Pruvan 3.14 will make it much easier for you to navigate photo requirements while in the field, reducing time spent at a property. To get started using enhanced photo mode, make sure that you have the most recent version of Pruvan and then read our article in the Pruvan Support Center to set up your own photo-only surveys.
