Pruvan supports a very specific type of survey called a Bid. Bids are a way to request payment on a task that unexpectedly comes up while at a job site. You’re inspecting a home and you see that a window needs to be replaced. Or you’re mowing a lawn and there’s a pile of junk that needs to be disposed of. These are things that should be taken care of while at the property and Pruvan has two ways for you to submit bids to the work provider right at the job site. Remember, every work provider has a unique process so make sure you use these options as a guide to fit Pruvan Bids with your business.

Creating a Survey Just For Bids

Creating a Bid Survey empowers you to have options in how photos and other information are collected from the field. In order to use a Bid Survey you must be able to add surveys to your projects either through an integration or using our excel import.

With a survey, you can ask specific questions to get the information about the bid that you need using our sweet skip-logic technology (see an example here).

What are you bidding on?

How much is the bid?

What is the quantity?

You can then set a photo requirement to take the necessary pictures. An added benefit of creating a Bid Survey? Surveys can be submitted multiple times. So if there are two separate bids at a property (a pile of junk AND a pool that needs to be covered), the survey can be filled out for the first bid and submitted, then filled out again for the second bid.

You can submit this survey as many times as you need to!

Ad-Hoc It with the Plus Button

With an Ad-Hoc Bid, you simply hit the plus button to create a new project for the bid you’re submitting on the fly. If you’re already using ad-hoc projects to complete your other other projects, you can simply add a task titled “Bid” to your project. To collect information regarding the Bid such as price or quantity, you can add this information in the task name and then take your photos.

Press the + button on the project list
Enter a suitable Project ID and the address of the property (e.g. Window Bid at 123 Main St.)
Enter a task name that fits the description of your bid (e.g. Broken window for 50 USD)
Take your bid photos
View your photos in you Pruvan Online account and your Pruvan Downloader

Using the Downloader for Help

Any photos taken either in a Bid Survey or a Ad-Hoc Bid will be available for viewing and download in your Pruvan Online account and the Pruvan Downloader. The advantage to this is that sometimes Bid paperwork can be complicated and forms need to be completed several times with the same photos. For example, a form with photos will need to be submitted to get permission to complete the Bid. Then once the Bid is approved, you may need “Before” photos of the Bid in question. The Downloader allows you to download and attach these photos to as many Bid forms necessary for you to get paid for the work you completed. Integration Specific Methods

Some integrations have specific features already in place to submit Bids. Other integrations allow for Ad-Hoc bids but not Bid Surveys. Most integrations will let you add the additional tasks you need in order to complete a Bid associated with an imported project.
